About
I’m Nic. Hernandez — a content strategist and writer based in Minneapolis. I work at the intersection of AI, language, and technology.
My background spans 10+ years in tech — from Apple Retail to enterprise SaaS support at CrashPlan — paired with a Journalism degree and freelance writing at the Dallas Observer. That combination gives me something rare: deep technical fluency wrapped in genuine writing ability.
What I Do
I make complex things clear. Whether it’s explaining transformer architecture to non-engineers, writing documentation that people actually read, or building content strategies for AI-forward companies — I bridge the gap between how things work and how people understand them.
What I’m Working On
- AI/LLM Study — Currently building a GPT model from scratch using Sebastian Raschka’s Build a Large Language Model From Scratch. Writing about what I learn along the way.
- Job Search — Looking for roles in AI Content Operations, technical writing, and content strategy where I can work alongside engineers and make technical content accessible.
- Copy Tonics — A niche copywriting business targeting the psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy space. Science-grounded, human-centered writing for an industry that needs more of both.
